Located on the Redcliffe Peninsula, we are a boutique Occupational Therapy practice providing therapy services throughout northern Brisbane. We are passionate about helping our clients live quality and fulfilled lives. Our experienced, friendly staff work with our clients and their families to achieve their goals through individualised support and working in collaboration with our clients and their support network. We have a diverse range of clients including children, young adults and those living in aged care and community care.
My Next OT is located in Margate and at request, we can provide mobile therapy services at private homes, aged care facilities, disability accommodation, schools and child care settings. We also offer a range of group services throughout the year including social skills groups, sensory play and school readiness groups.
We have a collaborative approach with all clients and this involves:
-
Initially meeting with our client and their support network to evaluate their therapy needs in accordance with their goals and what they’d like to achieve;
-
Customising a therapy plan to enable our clients to improve their ability to perform daily activities and reach their goals;
-
Keeping our client up to date by reviewing our therapy and ensuring the goals are being met and worked towards.
My Next OT provides support to clients with NDIS that are self, plan or agency managed. We also provide support to those with aged care funding and provide subsidised services under Medicare and private health insurers. When claiming through Medicare or your private health insurer, a referral is required.

Occupational therapy helps people do the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of daily activities (in other words occupations). We enable people of all ages to live their lives to the fullest by helping them promote health and to live better with injury, illness and disability. Another way to look at it is Occupational Therapists work to maximise a person's independence and participation in the activities they need and want to perform in their daily lives.
Occupational therapy includes helping children with disabilities to participate in school and social situations, helping people recover from injury and providing support for clients experiencing physical or cognitive changes.
Occupational therapy practitioners have a holistic outlook, where the focus is on adapting the environment or task to fit the person, with that person also being an integral part of the therapy team, using evidence-based practices.
